Celebrate Canadian film heritage with us!
The Sunshine Coast Film Society is pleased to present the Canadian Heritage Film Festival on Heritage Day weekend, Friday, February 18 to Monday, February 21st. This weekend-long event will include screenings of nine feature films – from across the country and over the decades – supported by documentaries and many classic NFB shorts, keynote speakers, a panel, and more.

An event with two films: Skana

In the Land of
the War Canoes (Edward S. Curtis, 1914). In the Land of the
War Canoes will be Introduced by Leonard Williams, artist, member of the
Kwakiutl First Nation. After the film, members of the Kwakiutl Nation from
Vancouver Island will make a presentation describing the present-day world
of the Kwakiutls.
